We are going to a dinner we won tonight. I need to finish wrapping presents and baking and a little shopping. We are going to do some Christmas activities this week as well. And hopefully AF will not be showing up!
Thank you so much Bokkechick for the perfect siggie!!!
No I don't have any sewing ability at all. This seamstress lady that tailors DH's suits makes custom dresses for pretty cheap. I'm mostly getting it for formal night on our cruise in January but it'll be nice to have it for other occasions if I need it.
Thanks Bokkechick for my wonderful siggy! TTC Blog
So here's what I'm getting for my dress! It's going to be like A but with the clap like D instead of the tie. The whole thing will be in hunter green satin with this sparkly green part of the skirt and the bust (but not the band in the middle.
I'm also getting an "infinity dress" made. They're basically a skirt with two long straps so you can make the sleeves in "infinite" ways. Here's some examples. The skirt is going to be made out of this purple and then the straps are going to be gold. I have to look for the gold over the next few weeks though because they didn't have any at the store we went to yesterday. Oh and the picture of the purple was taken really close up, you can't really see the threads that well.
I don't know how to make the pictures of the fabric smaller. Sorry they are so big.
a hairdresser, so long hours and having to please women all day, lol.
i am jealous, i would love to be able to take breathtaking pics!
Sounds like me at a wedding , long days of pleasing bridezillas & crazy, often drunken family & friends. I do love it though, mostly The events can be stressful, but the editing is peaceful & creative.
I've actually always wanted to be a hairdresser! I've been unsuccessfully trying to figure out some retro hairstyles for the holidays, like victory rolls & pin curls.
Tasha - both of those dresses look beautiful, post pics when you get them!!
