My hits hard with serious cramps the 1st 3 days at least. My standard is to take 4 Advil every6-8 hours (4 Advil being like prescription-strength ibuprofen). That at least makes it more bearable. Also, Yoga (including breathing & meditation) is a beautiful thing.
I love Yoga all cycle long, but it can especially help when arrives

What do all you ladies do?

I take Tramadol which is a prescription pain medication. I supplement that with two extra strength Tylenol, and sometimes if it's really bad Flexeril which is a muscle relaxer. I also use a heating pad/take hot baths.

I'm going to take Aleeve (naproxen) from now on and see how it works. Too bad the limit is 2 caplets per 24 hrs.
I got an Rx for naproxen the other day, but it's cheaper for me to buy Aleeve OTC.
Also my heating pad or heated throw is a god send!!!! I just curl up and go to sleep.

I use thermacare and I just got a new prescription for the pain. I also just curl up in bed or on the couch.
