We always dye Easter eggs which we will probably do the Friday before Easter. On Easter we will go to church then meet my side of the family for lunch at the park. Then Matt and I will spend the afternoon just the two of us and I always made a roasted chicken for dinner. I will make Easter cookies as well. Oh I will also put a small Easter basket together for DH.
Thank you so much Bokkechick for the perfect siggie!!!
We don't really have any currently, as there isn't really any young kids in the family that live near us. The youngest here is my sister and she's just turned 14 last month so she's kind of over the egg hunt thing. She also hates eggs and won't eat them so doesn't want to color them either. It'll probably be just like a normal Sunday for the most part. We may get a small present from my mom.
We're more looking forward to St. Patrick's Day. We're Irish on my dad's side and have a tradition kind of like the Easter Bunny but it's leprechauns. They come and mess the house up (because they are mischievous) and leave small presents and those little chocolate gold coins and shamrocks scattered about. My sister still has fun with that, and we actually have a clover patch in our yard so it's fun to search for a four leaf one. Then we'll have something Irish for dinner like potato soup or Shepard's Pie or something.
