Hi there! This is my first year gardening and honestly, I didn't even think to look for a gardneing board until today. I'll warn you in advance, I am a complete newbie to gardening and my spelling is not so great! lol I can't wait to get to know you all and get lots of tips and advice from you. My name is Stephanie, wife to Matt and momma to Sierra (12) and Will (9). I am also working nearly full time and starting in August, I'll be going to school full time too.

We put in our garden this year telling ourselves from the very beginning that it might be a failure. We figured that this would kind of be a learning experience and that whatever happened, we'd try again next year. lol

Our garden has: onions, potatoes, pumpkin, zuchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, green bell peppers, banana peppers, red and yellow bell peppers and strawberries. I am also growing lots of flowers this year, some annuals and some perennials. I have a few different types of lillies, impatiens, gladiolus, petunias and marigolds.

Anyway, can't wait to get to know you all!

Welcome! I'm Alyssa. Sounds like you have a great start. A lot of what you planted are easy to grow. A lot of gardening stuff came as trial and error for us. Each year it just gets better and better. It's so awesome eating stuff out of your yard.

Welcome! I am new myself. I have started a deck garden since our yard is small and used as the dogs area. It's definitely a learning experience but it's so fun.

So how have things been going in your garden? Getting some things to eat yet?

I have! I've gotten several banana peppers and some cucumbers so far. I have TONS of tomatoes but none are ripe just yet. I'm going to end up with so many that I will likely end up canning alot of them.

Jealous of your banana peppers. I also plant a ton of peppers but none of them seem to be growing much this year. Such a bummer.
