I was thinking pumpkins but is it too late? Will we have any by Halloween?

Things you can plant in early August are: green onions, carrots, beets, lettuce, spinach, radishes, and winter cauliflower

I think that pumpkins are supposed to be planted in summer. Personally, that wouldn't stop me from trying to plant some now though.

Hmmm, ah well. I may try spinach though, DH was upset that I didn't plant any to begin with.

Gauging on how slowly my watermelon has been growing, I'm going to say it'll take a long time for a pumpkin to grow. lol!

Yeah, its amazing how slow some of those vine plants grow, isn't it? I have a few good size watermelon right now but none are ready to go yet.

The ONE watermelon I can see right now, is like the size of a jellybean, lol. I have a few other flowers on the vine, so I'm hoping we'll get a few, but I'm not counting on it.
