Just poppin in from the March 08 PR, with a little question for you expirenced gardeners.
I have just moved into my DH's grandmothers old home. I home that hasn't been lived in in ten years. His Grandmother had many gardens on the land, vines, bushes, flowers...
And alot of it is growing back, even after all this time!
I came across a flower Ive never seen before. It just grew, my DH found it in the middle of our yard, just yesterday. I think its freakin awesome. So unusual.. and I was wondering if any of you ladies could tell me what it is.
Thanks so much for your reply Whitney! AFter further research, I found you wernt too far off! Its called a Spider Lilly, and now I have more popping up!! They are so pretty and unlike other flowers I've clipped and vased, they last for more than a week!
And yes inheriting a garden is so fun, cuz is surprising, you dont knmow what you have! I just learned I have a fig tree in my front yard... and differnt colored rose bushes down the side of my house...
And we have a blackberry bush in the backyard, DH and the kids pick them all the time. I can;t wait for Spring to see what grows back!
