The dandelion is a healthful, great tasting weed you can eat by Carol Williams Issue #44
How to Eat a Dandelion | eHow.com

What I'm confused on, is when to pick them? What does it mean "go to seed" and how do we tell when it's gone to seed? I'm still a beginner w/ all this planting stuff! LOL!

It's AMAZING that the dandelion has so much nutrition and here people are killing off this lovely plant as a weed, imagine that!

You can make wine, coffee, salads out of it. Used in pharmaceuticals? Pills are synthetic forms of the plants and herbs we have growing on Earth!

My mom use to make this for us. I had a hard time eating them because they were so bitter tasting but she stressed about how good they were for us. I found them down here in an international farmers market but they didn't look fresh. My hubby has no desire in trying them and i'll do what i always do.... Find a really good recipe, cook them, and don't say anything until he finished eating them.
