Has anyone planted inpatients?
How did they do?
Do they get very large. They say they don't but for some reason my front yard makes things grow large . I tried columbine but they took over. My small area is next to my walkway up to my door.

I live in Washington which I think is zone 9. Any suggestions for pretty plants for a small space would be welcomed.

When i lived at home when i was younger we used to have them in our front yard, they were a decent size but by no means huge...but my neighbor had them too and they were massive. My dad used to joke to our neighbor that he was gonna pour salt on them cuz they looked so much better than ours but the neighbor said he didn't do anything special to get them that big...i have no real knowledge of them but just wanted to let you know they can go either way i guess

That's awesome that your soil is so good to grow things so large! I don't grow impatiens, but they are a very popular flower. And there's something like 900-1000 variations of them!

What is your favorite flower? I would put that right where your soil is growing so awesome that way you have what you love! Otherwise, maybe you could try a small flowerbed with a variety so that one thing doesn't take over completely.
