Anyone else planting them? My patch is getting HUGE. I have 3 the size of a mellon and 1 the size of a basketball and a bunch of littles. Some grow the size of a lime then shrivle and die. I have some growing in yellow, is that normal? I am way new at this.

I've only tried my hand at pumpkins one time and the squirrels always got them first before they even got big enough. You seem to be successful though, what do you do to keep them away?

The cucumber beetles are eating mine all up. I've had to replant them. Not sure we are going to get any this year.
