We picked up our inoculated shiitake logs this weekend. We have to rig something up so that squirrels do not eat the mushrooms once they start to fruit (didn't think of this before) we have some lumber so I am sure we will come up with something.

Plus, we took the plastic off of our mini hoops and the lettuces lived over the winter! So cool - we may lose them yet, but we may get some nice early lettuces to eat in a month or so.

Since we are having such a period of mildness I may be able to get seeds down this weekend for frost hardy things like more lettuce, mustards, broccoli and onions. I love spring.

Corrupt and Keakie like this.
