With all this crazy weather, warm to freezing, snowing until late April, so on and so forth, is it too late to start planting? I just dug up my front garden patch, and am slowly weeding it, but is it in vain?
I've started pretty late before (due to moving) and still had a nice crop - a little later than normal but still got one in. Depending on your area, you might need to protect your crops with covers if a frost is expected before you get your harvest in.
Mama to a few:

May long is usually when my garden goes into the ground due to late frosts... and this year will probably be similar! I did start some seeds indoors though, not that long ago, so it's kind of an experiment!
