My son is 5 months old and 14 lbs. He was 9 at birth an his doctor is telling me he isn't growing fast enough. He is breastfed and also eats baby food and cereal. He eats wonderful at home and seems very happy but just in the last week the Sitter cant get him to eat any more than 4 oz of milk a day. He was drinking 10-15 oz a day. He acts like he no longer wants the bottle and just wants to nurse which would not be a problem if I were a stay at home Mom but I have to work so I am pumping milk for him to eat during the day. He did great the first few months-I can't believe that he would go from doing well with the bottle to not wanting to eat. He seems happy but the weight and the minimal amount of food during the day concerns me. Has anyone else had this experience?

yes of course weight loss is a great concern for all he mothers. One thing i would like to add is that bottle feeding along with breast feeding may cause nipple confusion and the child may have problem get nutrition from both as both require different type of suction technique by the child. you should consult a paediatrician immediately. And note his behaviour during the day. Don't worry, during developing age kids tend to have variation in their appetite. But do check with your doctor. Best of luck.
