Does anyone have any experience with feeding tubes? I think they're called J-tubes, where they're surgically put in the child.
My DD has been FTT for awhile (b/c of a genetic disorder), and at her last appointment, her doctor mentioned the possibility of a feeding tube be put it for awhile. This idea scares me pretty badly, and it's something I want to use as a last resort (trying to get my hands on a supplimental nursing system, I think that might help), but I want to get as much info on it as I can.
Hi I have a 2 year old on a feeding tube, we have adjusted to it that it is just normal to us. she had reflux bad and we did surgery and added to tube she has had failure to thrive for 2 years. We have done every test possible, and we found out she is allergic to milk products. we go back to the doctor tomorrow to talk more, she is always sick,,, it is a hard, hard descion to make but we wouldn't have katarah with out it,
