My little guy is now classified as a "Content to Starve" baby. He is just about 9mo. now. When he was a newborn, I had to do pumping and then suppliment that in, he picked up his weight gain and was in the lower part of the 50% percentile by 6mo. Now at 9mo, he just likes to nurse for comfort. He is at 16lb 2oz, 28 inches. He has dropped off the chart weight wise. He doesn't put things in his mouth, so he (so far) isn't interested in finger food. He has a bit of interest in baby food. When I nurse him there is concern because he is active and distractable, that he doesn't get the hind milk. He just likes to graze the day away. If he doesn't pick up the pace within a month, I will have to pump and supplement that later and maybe go to formula. He currently won't take a bottle or sippy cup, just an open top cup. Well, that is my story.

Hey Suzanne. I feel so bad for not posting to this sooner. How are you guys doing? Are you still breastfeeding?

Yes, we are still bfing. Doing BFing and things like applesauce, squash, and things like that. We went in for our weight check yesterday, it had been a month, and he was only up 7oz. She says he is developing nicely, but as a DR. if he isn't gaining more (1lb a month or more) she will HAVE to refer him to Childrens Hospital as FTT, and do the whole evaluation, we go back beg. of April. I got him some Barley teething bisquets yesterday to get him used to textures, he seems to like them okay. He just isn't interested in eating, is quite active, and if it is chunky food, he spits it out. Plus, we are slow to introduce some foods (wheat, milk, OJ, etc, because of allergy concerns). She doesn't want to refer him, because FOR NOW he is developing nicely, but she will have to, AND she IS concerned that he might start lagging further behind.
