Just wanted to see how Danny was doing since his GI app't at the beginning of the month. Hope he's putting on some weight!

He went to the new GI because of the rediculous excuses the other one gave. This one is excellent! He has ruled out a few more things (pancreatic disorders, etc) and says the diarrhea may be toddler diarrhea. That is like IBS in kids and since his dad has had bowel problems his entire life it isn't that unlikely. He said to eliminate all fruits except apples and bananas and to drink no juice. His weight is up 4.4 oz from March with a lot of ups and downs in between but he is still in the 10th percentile. The GI and the allergist have both said that unless his percentile goes down that they won't worry about it but the GI said if his percentile changes or if he steadily loses an ounce or so a month than he will need to start testing for more uncommon things. The CF bloodwork from March still has not ALL come back in...it can take several months as they look for every known genetic marker before getting the negative result.

Good news though is that the weight checks are no longer once a week. They are now once a month at two doctors. That is exciting. So overall not much improvement but he is not getting worse and we have a few possible answers now.

That's great! I'm glad you like the new GI, it really makes such a difference to find a doctor that is willing to look at the big picture! Hope the CF bloodwork comes back soon, I hate waiting for results lol I'm glad everything is looking good so far, hope he continues to put on weight and maintains his percentile!

Jonah is doing pretty good! He's pretty steady with his weight.. just doing things at his own pace.
