How do you handle the out of proportion dilemma?

Danny had a 24 month jump suit on today and the crotch was sagging down past his knees...I really need to find some clothes that fit him better...

How do you fix the problem kids being tall enough for say 12 or 18 months clothes, but the waist will only stay on if it is 6-9 or 9 month size?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm still trying to figure it out! It's a bit better now that it's warmer out, he can fit into 6-9 month shorts and they don't look funny on him. He needs the waist of 3-6/6-9 month depending on brand, but is needing the 12-18 month length. Such a pain. We look for pants that have the adjustable waist band, even then it falls down his tiny waist. Or we go for overalls. I've yet to find a belt that fits him *sigh*

We were in overalls all winter...I am hoping the shorts don't look funny. Kmart has the woven leather type belts. That was the only place I could find one. It wrapped around Danny twice but it held up a few pairs of his pants. It definitely helps if they allready had the adjustable waste band because otherwise they just bunched up and looked worse.

Overalls and dresses. Also Target Circo pants (like legging type pants) fit her well. Target also has adjustable waist pants from like 6-9 months up. I've also been known to gather the waist in back and use a hair tie to tie the extra up. lol

Abbey is very short and small so luckily she fits into pretty even clothes, she is currently wearing 0-3 and some 3-6mos clothes and they fit her perfect. She is 10.5 mos old.
