He went into the GI a few weeks ago and was started on pancreatic enzymes to see if they help at all before doing the pancreatic function testing. So far he seems to be responding to the test phase of the enzymes. He gained 7 ounces in the past month...a full pound according to the weight check 2 weeks ago. I am not sure whether to think of this as good or bad news as there are so many obligations with this if it is a pancreatic function problem. Right now he has to take ten capsules of the enzymes every day.(we open them and sprikle them on his food) That seems like a ton of meds to me for someone so young. He is also on TUMS and Vit D for a calcium supplement and Zyrtec for his allergies. Pray for him and me if you do that whatever God's will is in this that He will soften myheart to be able to accept it with a thankful heart.

I'm so glad he's gained! Maybe this will be your answer? I know it would suck, but at least knowing what it is and how to treat it will be so much better!

Yes it would. I think I will call his GI Monday and see if he wants him to go ahead and come in because he went to the PED today and weighed in at 25.6 pounds!!! That is over a pound gained in a little less than a month!!!! I was thrilled!!! I really should be grateful to have an answer no matter what it is. Thanks Tacii...

I can't believe this!!! Danny got the flu Saturday...he has refused to eat more than a few bites a day since he woke up on Saturday...as a result of this he as of yesterday had already lost back down to 24 lb. 6oz....THREE DAYS TO LOSE A POUND!!! This is so frustrating!!!
