I think I have posted in here before but it has been quite a while. My son was a micropreemie, born at 23 weeks 2 days gestation and weighing 1lb 3.5oz. He is now a very healthy, very happy, very TINY 25 month old.
I feel as if he will NEVER weigh 20lbs. Currently he is teetering at 19lbs at 25 months old. That is under the 5th percentile which I believe classifies him as FTT. He has been diagnosed with FTT before and is currently on Pediasure. I just bought some flaxseed oil and will be adding that to his diet to try to increase calories. He eats solids but they are very much a challenge for him due to his hypersensisitive gag reflex. Often times he will vomit while eating solids. It is VERY frustrating and I am at a loss of what to do! We see his GI in a couple weeks so hoping she has some advice but any other advice would be great! Thanks!
