Carly had her 2 month physical today. She's iun the 10th% for everything. Her height too. That worries me as I have no idea what her height was to begin with? She was born at 18 1/4 I was told but she was 19 at 1 week so Im not sure who might've mismeasured her? She's 21 inches now. How is that 10th% at 8 weeks? Her weight was 8 lbs 13.2 oz. She was 8 lbs 15 something last thursday. She has been sick but she's still eating 2-3 oz of bm. Now I have to mix the nutramigen in. I feel like I've failed her. I want her to gain weight and be ok. I really thought for sure she'd grown and would be over 9 lbs.
they tell me I'm starving her. They make me feel like a terribvle mom. I managed to get the new ped appt moved march 11 but meantime im so scared these past 9 weeks have hurt her growth for life? do you guys know if 8 lbs 13.2 oz is 3rd or 10th? Thanks
looks more like 10th to me. Your current ped has for some reason put a set of circumstances in her mind and is refusing to budge from them no matter what the facts show. This IS NOT your fault! I know it feels impossible but try to not let them get to you. It is their job to find out how to help her. All you can do is try the suggestions they give. Sorry hon. ((((HUGS))))
This is the chart your ped will use. It is the accepted growth chart for pediatric girls birth -36 months. if you have a printer you can print it and graph her growth so you have a copy of her growth record. If you don't you can just enlarge it on your screen and plot it from there...thus the "it looks like."
