How long can Danny's GI act like this is only a behavioral issue and that there are no other issues? He isn't even considering that there could be another cause for Danny to stop eating. Danny has lost an entire pound in one week and now his energy level is dropping as well. Danny is normally the type of child that is running around like crazy and unless you stick him in time out or make him sit down to eat. He will not stop moving. Today he sat on the couch and just played sitting down. He has n.e.v.e.r done that before. He needs at least 1600 calories just to maintain his weight and he is only eating 600-1100 and has been for over 2 weeks now. According to his doctor, "It isn't anything to be concerned about...it just isn't
normal." I don't know about anyone else but I think this is absolutely ridiculous. My child is losing weight, not eating, and now is losing energy also. I will likely be calling every adult GI in Knoxville to see if they will take Danny because the next closest ped GI is in either Jefferson City or Johnson City( an hour away+. That is quite a distance, especially for a weight check at least once every 2 weeks and more likely every week.
I am at a loss for what to do. Something isn't right and it is NOT just behavioral.

My child is sick and hurting and his doctor who is supposed to be helping him isn't helping at all.

I just don't know what to do for him. How am I supposed to help my child when all his doctor will consider is a behavioral issue??? This IS NOT BEHAVIORAL!!! He is not only lacking hunger but feeling full. There is a difference between the two and feeling full all the time doesn't seem like a good thing.

I don't know what I want. I am just so sick of feeling like things can't get worse and then they do.
