I thought this could be a neat and helpful on-going thread for our boards!
If you feel comfortable, I think posting pictures of our children being tube-fed might be valuable and helpful to those who're new at it, or new at a particular kind of tube-feeding (i.e., going from NG to g-tube).
Suggestions on the best tape and pump are always welcome (gotta add...this last one's for my benefit, Julia ALWAYS manages to wiggle out of her NG tape and it ends up feeding our mattress about twice a week or so lol)!
Julia's only fed by the NG tube at night...we insert the NG every evening, and take it out about 10-12 hours later when her feed is done.
Julia being NG tube-fed at about 6 months old.
About 11 months old...don't mind the fact that we're sleeping on the floor. We'd just recently moved (thank you, Army!), and our bed wasn't delivered yet.
Aaand...what you need to watch out for when your kid gets old enough to realize they have a tube in their nose lol Any suggestions on baby-proofing an NG pump, I'm all ears!! LMAO Please don't mind the weird music in the background (it was 2am, that's what was on TV), and how disgustingly messy our bedroom is lol
My baby is still in the nicu... There are talks of a g-tube... he is too weak to take a whole bottle:
