MY child is only 15 months old. Is it OK to give him Scandishake that young? I keep reading about Scandishakes on the board so I wanted to ask. I asked the nutritionist but, she did not know much about scandishake. She did say it sounded like a good source of calories though. Thanks.

I can't remember exactly when we got them for Brandon but I was given them at his GI doc's office from the NP and nutritionist. It says on the label that they are for weight gain. I'd guess he was about 18mo old when he first started having them, but I don't see why a few months would make a difference. We add it one envelope to 8oz of whole milk and it makes 600 calories. According to the box you can add it to a variety of drinks in case you can't have milk but it seems like you have to send it for a recipe book to see the suggestions. I order them from here : http://www.anyotc.com/index.asp?Page=1&amp...mp;keyword=1168 They seem to ship fast and if you order enough you can get free shipping. Brandon likes the chocolate better than vanilla, we haven't tried strawberry. The NP told us it was okay to give him one 8oz shake a day.
