Hi, Heather, welcome to the board. I really have no answers or suggestions for you as the situation with my son is very different that what you have experienced. Perhaps someone else has some experience with this? Just wanted to offer my ear and some hugs!

Oh my lord. I have tears in my eyes just reading all you've gone through. I can't even imagine how frustrated you must be. I wish I could tell you "oh! That sounds just like ____!" but I have no idea. The only thing that popped into my mind was thyroid issues? I know it can cause a lack of appetite (we tested my daughter for it since it runs in my family). My mom has issues with thyroid and she bruises easily so when you said that about the bruising it made me wonder if that was a sign of thyroid issues - I just googled it and it can be. I'm assuming with all the gazillions of tests that you've done that you've thoroughly checked out thyroid values though (blood tests)? If not, ask them to test for it. I don't know what else to suggest. That easily bruising thing seems like a big clue to me though - I wonder what specialist would be best to see about that? Maybe a hematologist? I'm just not sure.
Hugs,
Xty

Wow! What a rollercoaster you have been through with your daughter. I'm so sorry to hear about all these woes.

I think she is far outside the scope of a ped and needs special attention. I'm glad you are having more appointments with specialists finally. Neurologist, GI, all great places to start. If she is eating as much as her brother, maybe the GI should run some tests to make sure she is digesting it all properly (and that her digestion isn't what is causing her pain).

My daughter's issues are different than yours (simple refusal to eat), so I can't really offer you any advice from my experience, but I would encourage you to push for as many expert opinions as you can until you get some real help. It must be heartbreaking to see your daughter so unhappy. I hope you can find someone who can help!

I just thought of something else. Could it be severe food allergies to something? You said she got better but just the past week or so seems to be getting bad again. Is she eating some new food?
Also, what about Celiac Disease (http://www.celiaccentral.org/What_is...QEuHgodtRp7Qg/)? The symptoms there sound somewhat like what you describe - irritable, poor growth, fatigue, etc? Has she been tested for that?
Man, I wish I could think of something to help you!
