I posted here at JM a lot when I was pregnant with my youngest, but have only been back lurking and not posting much at all since she was born.
She was 8 lbs 4 oz at birth -- my biggest baby by more than 2 lbs! -- but since then her weight gain has been very very slow. She will be 12 months this weekend and I will be surprised if she's hit 16 lbs.
I think she looks healthy -- she is hovering at or below 1st percentile for both weight and height, so I guess that's why. Developmentally she is fine. However, her doctor is increasingly concerned, and I actually think they got her weight wrong (think my older daughter had her hand leaning on the scale but the nurse wasn't listening to me about it) at her last check. They got her about half a pound heavier than I get here at home.
She's actually a good eater... I don't know what the deal is with her.
Anyway, I am sure I'll be in here more and more because she is dropping on the charts at every visit. Luckily her head is in the middle of the charts, but her length and weight are slipping.

Welcome! Sorry to hear about your daughter's weight issues. Has your doctor done anything besides express concern? Will they be testing for anything, referring to a specialist or anything like that? If you think it is a problem, push to get it addressed sooner rather than later! If you have any questions, please post them. There are a lot of very knowledgeable moms on here.
