DH and I haven't been trying, actually we've been trying to avoid. I tend to O a little later in my typical cycle, about day 16 of 28 days and although I have been having wonky cycles, they've been either shorter than 28 days or maybe 29. I have been stressed out, so I know my body might be acting crazy, but I still that that day 24 of my cycle would be safe. Imagine my surprise when on day 30 I got a BFP. It was the only time we weren't protected during the cycle, but no method is 100% either, so I don't know how far I am.

I had to do some research online and while most info I could find said you won't get a positive before 7-12 days (even then lots won't get a positive on day 7), the early-pregnancy-tests.com site says it can detect as early as 6 days. So if these tests were indeed 6 days and 7 days from conception, could they be this obvious? I realize it's possible to get a positive, but how faint or dark? Either they are indeed 6 and 7 days or there was a "malfunction" earlier in my cycle. I'll need to make an appt to get into the doctor, but I'd like to get some opinions here.

Top test would be the possible 6 day test and the bottom 7, if that is when I got pg.

Thanks for your input!

If they were really that dark from just 6 or 7DPO, and not from a malfunction earlier in your cycle, then I'm thinking multiple beans!! Twins?!

I say definitely go to a doctor and see what's up!! Good luck, and I wish you a wonderful, happy and healthy 9 months!!!

Oh my. I'm trying not to think about multiples, so that doesn't make me feel a lot better. LOL! I had mentioned to DH what the possibilites were, that being one of them, and he turned white. One was enough of a surprise, I think. I think I may go crazy figuring out what happened here. I don't know when to call the midwives though because I don't know what they could tell me right now besides confirm I'm pg. I think it would be tough to determine EDD at this point considering the circumstances, so maybe I would need to wait for an u/s?

Until then I'll be obessed with finding BFP pics online and comparing, I guess.

Thanks for the help, ladies!!!

J

I would think you either ovulated earlier than thought or implantation just happened fast! I wouldn't worry too much about twins, unless it runs heavy in the family the levels don't really say much for how many babies you'll have. If it did my DS should have been at least 3 lol!

When I tested very early on as you did, I also got a strong dark p sign. Everyones levels of the hormone detected are different. You never know, it could be multiples but I only had one baby growing inside of me with those same early results. Good Luck and God Bless You and your Baby!
