Positive, But I have a question!

I've been pregnant.. many a time, so you'd think I'd be a pro at reading these things.

That's my pregnancy test.
Notice the pregnant line is darker than the control line. I should be about 4 weeks. Taken the first day after period was due. (20th was when it was due).
Breasts have been sore for a week now.
Could I be further along?
Why is it showing up SO dark, do you think the doctor would order an ultrasound to be safe?
Every other pregnancy i've had, including successful two; Have had a lighter pregnant line, and a darker control line.
To add to this mystery. It was NOT fmu. It was not done in the morning at all.
In fact it was done at 2pm. Both of them were a few hrs apart because I didnt believe the first one.
It puts me at about 13dpo if this online ovulation calculator was right. I wasn't TTC so I wasn't keeping track. & ontop of all that. The pregnant line showed up INSTANTLY as the pee hit it, both times.
I had to wait about 20 seconds for the control line.
Oh and to update. Here's a picture of what my upper half looks like, normally my belly is slightly flatter and hangs lower. (Had two kids so it's kinda.. flabby.., eheh ).

I've gained 2lbs in one month.
My breasts are really gettin heavy and sore too.
I think I'm further along/having more than 1.

I personally have not had this experience myself but I have saw alot of test on here where the preg line is darker than the control line and I have heard alot of girls talk about the preg line being darker. congrats on your BFP

my last pregnancy the line showed up that dark that quickly with DD around the time AF was due.

If you werent keeping track of your cycles, you may have Oed earlier than the calculator is telling you that you did.

There is nothing to be alarmed about, i dont think the doctor would do an ultrasound though, just because your test is dark. Some women create the hormone quicker than other women

that looks like a test done around 16-18dpo. Could of o'd earlier!! Congrats!

Yeah thats what Im thinking too.
I've heard people have abnormal periods one month, then find out their pregnant, then no periods afterwords, but turns out the abdnormal period was just some random bleeding with the pregnancy, and they're 2 months or so before they find out (8+weeks)

Could be that the dates are off. Just talk with your doc about it. Its hard to tell too much by just the darkness of the line. Congrats on your bfp, though!!! And H&H 9 months!

Not hoping for twins, wasn't hoping for 1 baby but it's a blessing in it'self if there is one or two little ones in there. I would love them just the same as someone who was wishing for a baby or two.

Mine was about 3x darker around 6wks or so. Everything is normal. My uterus was larger then normal- so we thought possible multiples- but nope there is just one. You may be a bit further along. My cycles are very regular- however with this one and with DD the previous cycle right before I got pregnant was a few days late- then it made the one i missed off- make sense? So with this one I o'd later then normal- and with DD I o'd earlier. I thought it was soo strange thought that both times my period was off the month before!

Yeah. Ive had 4 pregnancies that ended in miscarriages, and 2 successful pregnancies, and then this one, doesn't that heighten the chances of multiples?
I'm just suprised because the four pregnancies that ended in miscarriages all had fainter lines 1 week after missing my period. so maybe this is good. maybe it means the hcg isn't falling.

mine was darker when i tested at 3 days past AF due date. (same test as you)
The pos line came up before the control line (actaully all 5 of my tests.... yes that's right 5 LOL LOL) had the pos line come up first and i had to wait for the control to make sure that the test was OK.

I am only preg with one!

But how far along were you? I think I'm further because normally when I get pregnant I miscarry at 6 weeks or earlier and the tests are always FAINT, way fainter than this.
