I have been waiting a long time with a lot of heartache to get to this point. I am happy to say the visit went great and I am very happy with the new Doctor
I got there and did the routine new patient paper work. Medical history, insurance card, etc. Then they called me back and did weight, blood pressure and wanted to do an urine test, but I peed before I left home. I sat and talked with the doctor for what felt like 30 minutes. She went over everything. I showed her my BBT charts and she took a look at them and said they looked good but said temping wasn't required anymore unless I really enjoyed it. I told her it gives me a sense of peace knowing I ovulated and when. So she said I could continue if I wanted. She taked to me about the reasons why I might be having such a hard time getting and staying pregnant. Seems like I may have two issues going on. The semen analysis may explain why it takes so long for me to get pregnant. We are not sure yet why I can't seem to stay pregnant once I get knocked up
Dave's semen analysis wasn't so good. She said that could very likely be the reason it took six years to get one BFP. She gave me a copy of it. I will type the results even though they don't mean too much to me because I haven't had a chance to look it all up yet.

The comments said : Some sperm with primary head defects also had coiled tails.
I gotta LMAO off at that. I know it isn't funny...but it sure sounds funny. So that's the scoop on the sperm.

I think they are old
Okay enough of me laughing at Dave's expense.... he actually feels horrible that he has sperm issues. He keeps saying he is sorry. I just don't understand that part of it. It isn't his fault

I would never even consider saying to him that it is. I do want him to start taking his vitamins like he is supposed to. I am sure after todays news that won't be an issue. I don't care who's fault it is why we haven't been able to have a child... I just want to finally carry one to term.... even if it means we need some help.
Okay back to the appointment.... after we discussed the swimmers we then swicthed to the possible causes for why I can't seem to stay pregnant once I get there. She said it could be anatomy, immune system, infection, or genetic. From what I gathered....Anatomy would be tubes, eggs and stuff like that... Immune system would be clotting disorders... Infection would be an infection in the uterus...and Genetic would be just that... LOL... she did say that was VERY unlikely because we both have two healthy children.
Luckily I guess a lot of the tests she would have run have already been done with normal results.
As far as tests go, I have had the hysterosalpingogram (HSG) and sonohystrogram(transvaginal ultrasound with saline injected into the uterus throught the cervix). I have also already had my progesterone levels checked monthly. The have run the antiphospolipid panel of blood work which checks for clotting disorders that can cause miscarriage. They have also run various other blood tests. Everything has been normal.
The RE ordered more tests to be run that haven't been done yet. They are:
Day3 FSH
Rheumatoid factor
ANA(HEP2)
Anti-thyroglobulin
Estradiol
Thrombophilia panel
I have no idea yet what they are for, I have to do some reading tonight. She said it will take about a week for her to have all the results in and then I can come back in to go over the results and decide where we go from there. She said from looking at everything it looks like I am ovulating and hinted that maybe just I just need a boost with Clomid. I have a feeling that might be my next step. I am fine with that. I told her I just want to do whatever is necessary to have a baby before I am 35.
So over all the appointment went great and I left happy. I am sure I am forgetting part of it, so I will edit later if I think of anything

Is it next week yet????
