I totally forgot to post about this yesterday. I called my OB's office yesterday and first off I felt happy because when I told the receptionist my name she said "How are you sweetie? We haven't seen you in awhile." I dunno why but that just made me feel good to think she cared.
So I told her I would like to come in for an annual and to talk to the dr about how trying to conceive is going. I am set to go in on April 15! I love how I don't have to wait forever to see my dr! I should be around CD 9-10 on that date so that's perfect. AF will have already left but I won't have started BDing like crazy yet.

Now I just have to think of what all I want to ask her. I guess the main thing is if she thinks I should have any tests done at this point, and if not, then when I should.

For those who have had testing done, did you do it through your OB/GYN or through an RE?

Also do you think it makes any difference to doctors in general that we have been trying to have a baby since June, but because of the miscarriage, this time around has only been since October? I'm not saying I have to have testing RIGHT NOW, but I do think I would want something done before October.

Yay for getting an appt set!

My testing was through both OB/RE but I with the Kaiser club insurance *rolls eyes*. I'm not sure when they'll start counting but it sounds like your doc office is good and you have insurance so she'll probably be happy to run some tests. She might want to start you on Clomid. Are you open to that medication?

Good luck!!!!!!

I'm okay with Clomid. Dh is too except I think he might want to try longer on our own.

Hey Shannon, that is really nice about your doc's office. That would make me feel good too. After my 2nd mc, I was pretty insistent on seeing an RE, but that is totally different than your situation. Also, for some silly reason I had thought you had been trying longer than October. I think we were in another forum together, and maybe that's why I thought that? Anyhow, I read in a book, that if you know when you are ovulating, and you don't get pregnant in 4 months, to talk to your doctor. I don't think an RE is necessary, but maybe your doc could offer some options at this point? At the very least, it might make you feel more in control. GL sweetie!

Victoria, my miscarriage was in September and we started trying again in October. So it's been 6 cycles with no luck. Thanks for sharing the info you read, that makes me think I'm doing the right thing in going to see my dr.

I am glad you are going in to talk to your doctor Shannon. And how great that you don't have to wait long to see her!

I am interested to see what she has to say, cause if I'm not pregnant this coming month, I plan on going in and seeing my doctor as well.

Good luck Shannon!! I hope she has some good info for you
