I forget how handsome he is until I get out the camera. From a baby he has always just been so photogenic. He loves the camera. He's a ham. I bet as he gets older he'll turn into the typical guy and never smile for the camera so until then I will take a many shots as possible!
He has a tattoo of the pirates of the carribean on one arm and a dragon on the other. He keeps telling pointing to them and showing everyone. LOL He looks like a sailor though. I think next time I'll just put it on one arm at a time.

OT, how do you like your fireplace? I see it in the pic. We are thinking about getting one just like it for this winter. Just curious! does it warm good?

Thanks I love your new siggie by the way. The fireplace works great. It is a Scan Anderson 10 I think (some Scandinavian brand). My house is 2900 sq feet and it heats up the main level and upstairs fast. That along with replacing our sliding glass door and front door and back door and adding storm doors has made a huge difference. Everyone that visits tells us how much warmer our house it now. I used to walk around with a down comforter as my cape beause I was so cold LOL
Now would I buy the same stove if I needed another one. Maybe. The downfall to this stove is that it is real messy. Almost every time I open it the ash or coals drop onto the brick so I always have to get the shop vac out to clean it up. I love the huge glass, it is nice to watch the fire and it is a bit dirty so you can see in the pictures just the flame but if I cleaned it it would be perfectly clear. If you are looking into a Scan I would just see if the newer models have some sort of trap or lip so that the ash doesn't fall out every time you open it. Oh, the other nice thing about the stomve is that all the heat comes out the front so I can have plants and stuff right next to it without worrying about fire danger. It can actually be installed just inches from the back wall rather than the older style which requires like 1.5 feet from any walls. I just used the spot that was in place before so I still have that big gap.

Thanks Danica! The one we're looking at actually has a trap for the ashes. But I'm glad to know what to look for. We only have an 1100 sq ft house, so hopefully that will help. We have a propane heater now, but propane is just sooooooooooo expensive. This year already we've spent $450 on propane and I live in Texas. It doesn't get cold here like it does there.
