My parents are visiting for a couple of days and my mom said she has been thinking of things I could for Dear One's due date. She mentioned planting something although we don't have room for anything else right now and then if we move we can't take it with us. She did bring me my sweetheart rose bush that was at her house. Dh gave it to me years ago, I nearly killed it and she nursed it back to health. It will always stay small and have small blooms, so I thought it was sweet that she thought of that and was trying to think of things I could do.

I'm thinking I will give my Dear One a name on his due date but I still have to talk to Dh about that. For those who did name your angels, did you tell your close family when you named your baby? The reason I would like to name Dear One is so that I have something to call him when I am talking to people. I normally just call him Dear One online and in my mind. When talking to family now I just say "the baby", but when I get pregnant again that won't work and I don't want to always call him "the baby I lost".

The rose bush idea is very beautiful! And it sure looks like you can take it with you if you do move.

When I named Quinn, I wanted something neutral. Even though deep down, I knew Quinn was a boy. I only told the people that knew about my pregnancy about his name, nobody else outside of that circle know about him to this day.

I hope you and DH decide on a name that you both love. Naming my baby was a very big step during my healing process.

Shannon, your mom sounds so sweet. What a caring heart she has

I think the rose bush and naming the baby sound perfect. I love being able to refer to my babies by their names. It helps when describing pregnancy symptoms too. I can say, "With Naden's pregnancy" or "With Aspen I felt" and the same with Skyla and Keene.

That is very sweet of your mom. I didn't name mine, but I hope you and dh can decide on something you both like. Enjoy having your parents here!

Shannon, That was very sweet of your mom to be so thoughtful. I think the name idea is great. It is really akward when I talk about pregnancy symptoms with my loss. I dont know what to call the baby. I feel even more weird since it was a blighted ovum. I think it is a great idea though for you guys. Please let us know what nema you pick if DH is ok with it.
