ok, to make a long story short.(i hope)
last monday=blood (hcg 1400) u/s=no baby or sac
tuesday=blood (hcg 1800) u/s= no baby or sac -passed tissue
wednesday= passed tissue
thursday=took tissue to dr, he said i dont know what this is but its not the baby....washes it down the sink
friday=blood (hcg 750) no u/s
TODAY=blood (hcg 800)
he wanted to give me the shot to abort all last week, i said no.
today he insisted on giving me the shot to abort and i said no
he said either i havent gotten rid of all the baby or im pregnant again????
either way he wants to start me off on a clean slate..but if im pregnant AGAIN it will deform the new baby and i will have to abort that on.
ladies, im soooo confused. could i possible be pregnant again so soon? we had sex without any protection sunday night and last night. could my levels be this high if i were pregnant for 4 days?
my gut tells me to NOT get the shot, but i dont know if that is the right thing. has anybody heard of this happening before? i am getting my blood drawn again tomorrow morning. what is that suppose to tell us?
can anyone tell me what YOU would do if YOU were in this situation?????
im just soooo stressed out over this, and i want to make the right decision....GRRRRRRR!
thank you again.

I looks to me like your miscarriage is just being slow.
I personally don't think it's a new pregnancy, I think your body is having a hard time letting go of the old one. It is somewhat common for HCG to go up and then back down again.
If it were me I would trust my doc and take the meds. If you really don't want the meds, ask him what the complications could be from not taking it.
Some women continue to miscarry for several weeks until it is complete. The other option is a D&C if your body is having a hard time letting it go.
Only you know what's right for you. I hope that helps at least a little

thank you very much, and i would be okay with that. i just wish they would give me some proof before making me take some medicine.. he says, and everyone that knows about it says, they have never heard of this before. thats why i dont want to take the easy way out i guess. i want them to be able to tell me whats going on, and they just have no idea. honestly, sorry if i offend anyone, but i dont really trust doctors. i will only go to them if i HAVE to. i trust my body to take care of what it needs to. and i feel fine, better than i have in a looooong time. i just think i would know if something was wrong. i dont have an infection...no fever.
i dont have ANY pain. im tired, but who isnt?? im trying to find a second opinion. am i just being stubborn? i know most of you have been through this, so i trust your judgement. i dont mind being told if im acting foolish. it wouldnt be the first time. i just dont feel it in my guts, you know?

I totally understand how you feel. I am not a big fan of intervention.... but sometimes I have felt like I need it to keep my sanity. Once you get your blood draw tomorrow you should know more. If you numbers start falling quick, you will know the pregnancy is most likely ending. If they start to double again, I wouldn't be surprised if they ordered another u/s.
FYI when I miscarried the last time at almost 7 weeks. The "baby" looked like a walnut type thing. I really didn't know what it was when I saw it, but looking back I just know that was it. Have you seen anything like that yet? If I wasn't in a public bathroom when it came out I probably would have taken a pic of it.
Trust you body. If you don't want meds and they can't give you a good enough reason as to why you should take them and not do it natural, then wait it out.

I might not be any help, but I say if you are that adament about wanting an answer and they cant give it to you then do it naturally. Women for 100's of years have had this happen, and Id say just watch your signs, know what to look for if things take a turn for the worse, and do it your way. Dont let a Dr. force you into doing something you dont feel right doing. It will hurt worse down the road as your heart tries to heal and you have the whole "what if" thing happen. I work in the medical feild, and im telling you, if you do go naturally, your body will tell you when you need professional intervention. Just make sure you are listening to it. I wish you the best of luck and please KUP on what you do decide.

Hi hun, I would say that if you can emotionally handle it to wait a little longer for more bloodwork and for a natural m/c. I would also encourage the doctor to give you another u/s to see if maybe there are pieces left that are a potential for infection. If you have this potential for infection you do need to have a d&c though. Also, you can always get a second opinion. This is absolutely within your rights. HUGS

Is it possible that you had more than one in there and perhaps you lost one and that's why your levels rose again? I'm sorry if I'm not being any help. I would wait it out for it to pass naturally.

Hey sweetie, i am so sorry you are going thru this!!! I soooo do NOT want to scare you but this kind of sounds like my 2nd pg.
Did they ever suggest an ectopic? or a heterotopic pregnancy? With an ectopic, the baby might not ever be seen on an u/s. My first one wasn't seen and they did 3 or 4 u/s, but they did see bleeding on the u/s bc I'd already ruptured (I knew that one was ectopic and the dr's wouldn't listen ). My 2nd pg I thought I'd m/c, passed something tiny and gray. I didn't take it in to the doc, figured that was it - I'd been in the ER the previous day for pain and bleeding and they did one u/s, saw no baby/sac and told me it was "too early to see anything" @ 51/2 weeks. But then when I went in for a followup appt my HCG's shot back up. The dr (I really didn't like this guy!!!) REFUSED!!! to do another u/s on the several different occasions I asked for one. He only wanted to go by the HCG counts, which were rising. In fact I read my records from that and he makes me look like a complete idiot for refusing the shot. I wasn't having any pain, only a little bleeding, and was mildly tired/nauseous. turns out it was ectopic and I ruptured 4 weeks later (he was right, but still, to refuse a patient's several requests for an u/s for proof??? ).
I hope everything turns out okay!!

Brandi that is exactly what I was thinking...
If I were you I'd definately try to wait it out and do it naturally...just keep a watch for a fever and chills and sever abdominal pains (my ER doc said that if it feels like I'm about to give birth to a baby cow to immediately return to the ER)...
I passed alot of large tissue on Tuesday morning and my bleeding has subsided alot...I'm now barely spotting...I will go for my 3rd blood draw on Monday to check on my hCG levels...
I'm praying for you!

thank you ladies for all your comments. unfortunately i caved and got the shot. i went to another dr for a 2nd opinion. she advised the same. my levels increased to 792 on friday. she said i probably had a small piece of tissue that just didnt want to let go. before i could even consider trying again...i had to get rid of what i had. soo i did. hopefully i made the right choice. thank you...hopefully the next time i post, it will be happy stuff!!! wishing you luck!
