Hi everyone! DH and I had a m/c in March and we really want to try again. My MW didn't really speak to me about "guidelines" on waiting to TTC.... so I thought I would ask you all.

Is it "bad" to try too soon? Can you get pregnant on the first try after a m/c?

Thanks!

I am sorry you lost your baby.

Yes you can get pregnant right away, but it doesn't always happen that way. My doctor told me to wait one cycle after my first loss at 14w. That was the only one I was told to wait a cycle. The others I have TTC right away, but have never gotten pregnant before the first AF. Most women are told to wait anywhere from 1-3 cycles. It's your choice if you wait or not. Some women are not emotionally ready that soon.

to the board and I can't wait to get to know you. Feel free to jump right in. We are a bit silly most of the time.

Hi! I am sorry to hear you lost your little one but glad you found your way here to TTCAL. Yes you can get pregnant right away after m/c. I did last month but I had a subsequent m/c very early on and then I actually got pregant again this month before my 1st period so it's definately possible. I notice with my body after m/c I tend to ovulate about a week later than my normal days.

I look forward to getting to know you better.

Do you chart? That helped me especially right after m/c because my temps were all over the place.

:hugs: I'm so sorry for your loss. I love midwives. Mine is the kindest person in the world and even came to my sons memorial service. I don't have any advice on TTC but wish you much baby dust!

I'm sooooooooooooooooooo sorry

My MW was really sweet and I liked her with Kailey, but more and more I started questioning some of the things she did, and with this last pregnancy I became very disappointed in her. I will be switching this next time depending on insurance and blah blah blah.

I forgot to add: With Kailey I didn't chart and I was pregnant within 2-3 months, I can't really remember it was a 1/2 surprise. LOL!! With this last pregnancy, we were pregnant on first try. That was my first month of temping so I didn't know a whole lot. I figured that I get pregnant pretty easily when we try, so unless I'm having trouble getting pg this time around I'll hold off on the temping.

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm glad you found us. These ladies are amazing. They are so supportive and informative. If you need anything, just ask. I m/c in Aug and I'm still trying. I started temping this month and that seems to give me a better idea of what my body is doing. Good luck to you!

I got pg with Haley within 3 months of coming off birth control pill. I got pg this last time within 2 mos of coming off birth control. So, I thought I was pretty fertile. However, now it's been 8 months and nothing. A m/c will do wacky things to you. Just thought I'd let you know!

I assumed as much that it could mess up my cycles. We're playing it by ear (or is it year? lol) right now. Just kinda waiting....
