I've been mia for various reasons. Thursday ds put a rock in his ear, which meant a trip to the dr. Then I had a bad food reaction (to almonds of all things). While I was home sick on Friday my peri's office called w/ my thrombophilia results, but I was so out of it that I didn't ask for the results themselves. As soon as the nurse said Heparin or Lovenox my mind went into needle-phobic panic mode, and all I managed to do was make the appointment to come in to talk to the dr. So I've been patiently waiting for Thursday to get here (when my apt is) and feeling like a complete idiot for not getting the results so I could be researching whatever is wrong. Well, I couldn't wait till Thursday so I called this morning, and I have Factor V Leiden (heterozygous).

So anyone else with that?

I haven't but I am assuming it is a blood clotting disorder. I think a few girls here might be able to provide some of their input, you may want to pop over to PAL and see if the girls their have anything to add. Wish I could be of more help.

Please kup on you appt. HUGS

Thanks Danica! Yep, it's a clotting disorder. Do you think the gals over at TTCMA would have input too? I'm just not sure where to ask. I checked out in the High Risk board too, but haven't posted yet.

I'd check out the recurrent pregnancy loss board too. It seems like maybe someone there has dealt with Factor V.

Hi there, I am kinda in the same boat. My doctor told me I had 2 blood disorders, has put me on metanx, baby aspirin, and now that I am pregnant - Lovenox. But, I have no idea what the disorders are called. One is a blood clotting issue and the other is that my body can't process B vitamins or folic acid like it should. I need to find out! I like to know exactly what is going on and do my own research.

Thanks for the input ladies! I'll hunt around on a couple of the other boards.

Victoria - I completely understand, I have to know and try to understand everything, or I feel really anxious about it. ) When you find out what it is you are dealing with, let me know, it would be nice to have someone in the same boat to talk to. How are the lovenox injections? I'm kind of nervous about it.
