1. After you DTD do you try to take it easy and avoid exercise such as walking/running etc. ? I'm wondering if going for a run makes a difference in whether the sperm will make it to the egg.

2. How do you know that you are O-ing?? Other than temps or CM?? I have been having light cramps/achyness around the ovary area, but I'm wondering if it's mostly my imagination.

This is my first month TTC after my loss, so I'm super over-thinking everything. I just keep thinking, if this is the month, I don't want to mess it up. I'm sure you all KWIM!!

Thanks all

I have no idea... I don't run, can't say I have ever heard that before. I just made sure to prop the butt up after we DTD...

I bougt an OPK. My cycles are strange, so it was what helped me know when to time it right. Welcome and Good Luck!!

Just my opinion here, but from what I have learned, once you dtd, the sperm get to where they are supposed to go, no matter what you do. They stay in the cervical mucous and I don't think any activity is really going to affect that...

As far as knowing when I am Oing, in the past I have always just gone by cm. Starting last month, I have been charting and this month I added in OPK's early in my cycle. Cramps around your ovary area definitely sounds like a good sign to me!

Hope you get your BFP quickly!

I agree with Michelle, sperm will get to where they have to go (unless they stop to ask for directions) regardless of any activity that you do after. Although, some say it's better to prop your butt up with a pillow right after.

As for knowing when you're Oing besides temping and CM, cramps are the only other way I think you can tell. Unless you have one of those Ferning things.

Good luck during your cycle!!! Hope you conceive real soon!!

I agree but.... I do try to stay in bed after we dtd. Actually I try to just go to sleep for the night afterwards so I don't have to worry about gravity LOL

Opk's and cm and the occasional O pain is how I tell if I am O'ing. This month I did have some spotting before my O and from what I researched it could have been caused by a drop in estrogen prior to an O.

Shh, I'll admit to you that this month I felt like I O'd from my left ovary so I would sleep on my left side after we dtd. HAHA

Thank you all very much. I hope this achyness on my left side is a great sign. After my loss (ectopic) I had to have surgery which removed my right tube. So it makes sense that I am cramping on the left (only tube left). I've never felt this before (at least not this much) no pain, more aches.

Thanks for making me feel better about the exercise thing, it is the only thing keeping me sane through this whole horrible situation of losing my first pregnancy.

Yes I take it VERY easy from O till AF shows. I don't think it makes any difference at all, but I guess I am obsessive

I know I am Oing because after charting for almost a year now, I know my signs of impending O. I know what my cervix, CM and temps do. I also use OPK's and now a ferning thing. I do get O pains too that I guess I have always gotten but never paid attention to.
