ha! i never used them for THAT purpose before! Insteads are great for if your on your period and wanna still have non messy sex... or if you just dont like tampons....
I prefer the Diva cup though.. for actually using during my period...you cant have sex with them... but they are more comfy... But thats besides the point!
Anyways! thats a neat idea! i say go for it! haha...

According to the girls over there they are putting them in after sex to trap all the escapees. I dunno if it would work, or if I could make it to the bathroom in time to put it in there haha.

i say.. have sex.. and pop it in while you are in bed! tell your DH that he can just roll over and go to sleep.. he wont care!
And seriously. if you like the idea of insteads for your periods check out Divacup.com... WAY better! and re-useable (sp?) so even better for the environment...

hm i've never heard of doing that. i've heard of the cups, but only for af. i wonder if it even makes a difference. i mean, there are millions of sperm, how much of it needs to be trapped?

I use them!!!!! I use the Instead cups to keep the swimmies up there!! (a girl on another board got pg from doing that) I only use them when I have fertile CM. After BD, I put it in while in bed. I leave them in the drawer next to the bed. I seem to have less gushing out when I use them so I def. think they help hold them closer. (we'll see this cycle if they worked )

well, I used Instead cups for AF, but I did try them a few months ago, because I didn't have time to lay around after BDing, and that's the month I had my chemical pregnancy. I don't plan on using them again, because I just feel that it gives a boost to the weaker sperm, but that's only because of my m/c experience the same month as using them.
But I did get pregnant using them.

That's the only reason I'd be afraid to use them...is in case they help out the weaker sperm. I read a review online of someone using them who got pg but then had a miscarriage. I know that's only one person though.
It *seems* like only the strong sperm would still survive because they still have to swim all the way up through the uterus and up the fallopian tube but who knows.
I may just stick to laying down for 20-30 minutes after BD.

I have heard of them for periods, but I have never used them, in fact I got sent free samples years ago and still never tried them. That is an interesting idea though
