I was taking a shower and I began to feel very faint. I was blacking in and out, was dizzy, etc and the next thing I knew, I was lying naked outside the shower with a towel over me in front of the toilet. Then I felt very nauseous and proceeded to vomit.
It was scary. I don't ever remember that happening with Zoe, especially so early on. WDYT? Should I go to emerge, just to be safe? I've felt fine ever since.

Call me a hypochondriac...but if I passed out and didn't know why or for how long...I'd def go to the ER...at LEAST for a check up...I mean...what if it happened again while you are driving or home alone with Zoe?...(totally not trying to freak you out...just giving my justification)...

I hadn't eaten yet this morning at that point, but I've never passed out from not eating, not even with Zoe when my morning sickness was so bad that I couldn't stand the sight of food. Mike said I was only out for a few minutes, that he heard something fall in the shower and called to ask if I was okay, and when I didn't answer he came in. He said when he saw me, he pulled me out and laid me in the floor and put a towel over me and I came to a few minutes later.

If you feel safer you can go to the er but I think it's just a pregnancy sign. Dizzyness and fainting I guess is pretty common in pregnancy. Something to do with constriction of arteries in your legs due to the growing utterus and drop in blood pressure. Look here. http://www.womens-health-questions.com/pre...cysymptoms.html I would say that if you start to feel dizzy next time sit down to be sure it passes and you don't get hurt.

Hopefully you'll feel better... Just be very careful! (Remember you may be eating for 2 babies...not just one )

I would probably hang tight and see if it happens again. Remember, if you start to feel dizzy, just sit down and try to relax. But, if it keeps happening, I'd definitely go have it checked out!
Hope you are feeling better and you didn't get too bruised up when you fell!

My friend did that in her first trimester all the time, she went to the ER a few times they told her it was common in pregnancy in the first trimester, so her 2 ER trips were pretty much a waste of time. But if you feel better going then i would go. But i wouldn't worry about it, my friend was passing out more than once a day and they never did anything for her.

Hi Brandy, I always (even when I am not pg) have pass out issues in the shower. I like to take long, hot showers and sometimes my body can't handle it. I agree with Danica, totally a pg symptom. Not surprised it happened while you were in the shower.

I think it was probably just a pregnancy symptom, especially if it was a hot or very warm shower. Lots of ladies have that happen. Just make sure to get sat down, or better yet, lay down next time the minute you start feeling dizzy.
