Well Mike and I had a horrible weekend. A little backround. Since we moved into our new house a year ago we've had nothing but problems with the neighbors that live behind us. They've compained about almost everything. Well they planted a flower garden in our yard at the end of the proporty but on our side of the fence before we moved in. Well last summer I told her that we were going to do something different with the garden and if she wanted any of the flowers to take them. Well she dug out a bunch of stuff and left a bunch of other stuff. Well this weekend we were marking out the yard because we are going to put up a fence. Well part of the fence would run right into one of the flowers so my dad dug it out and replanted it somewhere else. He also took out the black boarder that they put in. Well we layed it in the back yard and this morning Mike said he watched the lady come over into our backyard and grab them and bring them back into our yard. Well when I got up and he told me about this I told him I wanted them back because they were on our side of the fence in our yard and she had no right to take them. So he reached over the fence and took them back and then we put them up next to our garage because I was going to put them back in once the fence was up. Well we left to go to a family BBQ and when we got home I saw that she had come over into our yard yet again and came up to our garage and took them back.
Well it takes a lot to get Mike upset and this did it. He went up to her while she was digging out the flowers on our side and asked her why she came into our yard and stole the boarder. She just keep saying that it was hers and so were the flowers and just kept going on and on and wouldnt listen to what Mike was saying so Mike said would you like me to call the cops and they can explain to you that all that stuff is on our side and she had no right to take it and she said yeah I want to talk to them. Well he called them to come out and they came out. Mike said that he would let her tell them what was going on and she said no you can tell them so we both told them what was going on and that we gave them a chance last year to take what they wanted and they didnt (she said it got to cold which wasnt true) and the cops explained to her that what is on our side of the fence is ours even if she planted it years ago that once we bought the property that that stuff became ours and that we gave them the chance to take what they wanted and they didnt. Well that pi**ed her off so she started taking the flowers she dug out and started throwing them over the fence into our yard and the cops stopped her. She even told them that she was going to knock on our door and talk to us but saw that we werent home and went ahead and dug the stuff out anyway. I know she didnt check to see if we were home because she would have had to go around the garage to see that my car was gone and our neighbors that we love would have seen her and said something to her.
Then she started in about the fact that we are putting a privacy fence up and that she will not allow us to take down their fence which is tec. on our proporty and not theirs and we just told the cops that we were going to the city hall tomorrow and going to find out all about that and that we were having someone come out and survey our lot to show that the fence is in our yard which we already have one thing that says it but this way they can be shown it and then cant say anything. The cops just told us to make sure to give them something showing that that the fence is in our yard and that we have a right to take it down. We've had so many problems with them throwing trash in our yard and other stuff that I'm glad the cops told her to stay out of our yard and if we have any more problems with them or they come into our yard again to call them again and they will come back out.
Sorry for the long vent but its been a weekend from he** and I will be so happy once the privacy fence goes up so that we dont have to deal with them again. If you've read this far thankx Ok I'm done now.

Got to love neighbors! Why can't we just have nice neighbors, mine had a party at her house last night till 4 o'clock this morning we called the cops twice on them for being loud (after i already asked them to quite down twice) and it still did no good I finally just gave up and stayed up. Why are people in this world so rude?

I read the whole thing, and now even I am annoyed with your neighbor. You did the right thing by getting the police involved, it just sucks that your neighbor has to be such a butt. Doesn't she know you don't need her kind of drama while you're trying to grow a baby??? Hopefully venting made you feel better!

Thanks girls. Mike and I were so mad that we were both shaking. They dont know that I'm pg and I dont plan on them knowing unless they figure it out once I'm a lot bigger but ever since I've been dizzy and Mike thinks its from all the excitement. I'm wondering what their going to do tomorrow when I'm out there when mike is at work. I'm still waiting to see if the guy says anything because he wasnt home when everything went down. Their seniors by the way

Well that explains it but seriously I am sorry you are having a tough time with them. It does seem like you are going about it right. I would definately get that fence up ASAP to keep her nose and junk out of your area. HUGS. Keep that blood pressure down, Mike's probably right. You're blood pressure most likely raised with all the drama.

Eeeek! We have a neighbor that we had an "encounter" with about a month ago. He threatened to call the cops and I wish now we had him do it. Ugg --- I don't even want to re-live it.
I sure hope that it's OVER and you don't have any more issues. Sorry you had such a stressful day!

Wow, I commend you for handling it much better than I would have. Seniors tend to over react alot. I hope the fence helps the situation. just make sure it is tall enough for her not to be able to pitch things over

Wow- what a mess. I would have been furious!
We had a similar situation with some of our neighbors, also seniors, who planted 4 shrubs in our yard. Kenny went and told them to move them- that they were in our yard and he didn't want to maintain them or mow around them. Well, they wouldn't move them so DH "accidentally" doused them with high-powered weed killer, so needless to say, they aren't a problem anymore.

Wow - makes me glad I have such good neighbors, at least close by. We did have some crazy guy follow DH home one day from up the road and pull into our driveway and start cussing him out about driving like a maniac (he was going 40 in a 35 zone) in front of our kids. We called the cops, and then later his wife came and apologized and said he's a nut about the road, etc...
Gotta love crazy neighbors!

I am sorry you're having to go thru that!!!
we used to have trouble with our neighbors, thank god they moved!! We had the yard surveyed before they moved in bc #1 we were curious as to where the property line was and #2 there was an ugly bush we wanted to take down but didn't know whose property it was on.
anyway, these people's trash always ended up in our yard, they would pile junk against our garage (DH would go and literally throw it back into their yard), and one day they had a loud, late night party that ended up in our yard. They were parking their bikes IN MY GARDEN!!! All I can say is that was the ONE TIME I am thankful for the rep that rotties have . . . all we had to do was take them out to do their business a few more times than normal and the dogs barking at their noise was enough for them to make a hasty exit from our yard. I was SOOOO glad when they moved.
but on a funny note about senior neighbors . . . one lady I used to work with, her (elderly) parents had (also elderly) neighbors who, no kidding, called the cops on them, repeatedly!!! bc they were feeding the birds with a bird feeder in their own yard. Why call the cops?? bc the birds would then sit in the neighbors trees and break the branches bc the birds were getting to fat from the birdseed. Even the cops were laughing.
