I was reading online last night that women take home preg. tests after d & c to make sure pregnancy hormone levels are going down so I was intrigued and bought one this morning and it says im pregnant, now obviously Im not pregnant but what in the world is going on? Do you think there is still something in there? (I had a d & e by the way, do you know what the difference is?)

I was so excited when I was getting positive opk's but now I know they mean nothing.

It'll take a while for your hcg to drop. Unfortunatley no one will be able to tell you an exact timeframe but it takes longer if your hcg levels were higher. The best way to track is to have you doc office take your blood until the levels drop below 5. I went in once a week until I was all clear. It's confusing because I did the same thing, took and hpt and swore I was pregnant again but my numbers were still just dropping. I hope you get clear answers soon. HUGS

I did the same thing. I m/c in August and by October still no af. I took a test and it was pos. But my levels still hadn't dropped from the m/c. I was only 7w1d and I had a d&c. I would ask for blood test to make sure they drop all the way. I went in once a week like Danica.

I didn't test after my m/c.

I agree with Danica & Michelle in going to see the doctor to get blood drawn.

I hope your levels drop soon, so you can get back to TTC.
