Hi Nicole. All my m/c's were natural (no d&c) and not over 7w5d. So speaking from my experience I started dtd again once the bleeding stopped. I think if you have a d&c they recommend that you do not dtd until bleeding stops also due to risk of infection. With my 1st m/c I waited 1 cycle to officially ttc again. I got pregnant again on my 3rd cycle but m/c again. I accidentally got pregnant before my 1st cycle again but m/c very early on (chemical pregnancy). So then I got pregnant again before my 1st cycle and that is where I stand today. Kind of confusing, I know. Anyway, I would recommend that you chart and track your cm. That helped me a lot to identify when I ovulated this cycle. I found that I ovulated a week later than my usual timeframe which was helpful to know for dating purposes plus it's just nice to know your body got back to normal post m/c. I will say that I dont think I ovulated after my 1st m/c so there's no guarentee but I do hear that women are more fertile post m/c... Good luck!

edited because I realized my wording was super hard to follow so hopefully this clarifies. I just want you to see that you can get pregant post m/c as this is my 3rd pregnancy in a row...
August 07 BFP
September 08 M/C
December 07 BFP
January 08 M/C
late Februrary 08 BFP
early March 08 M/C
April 08 BFP

Nicole,

For me, my m/c was natural and lasted 4 days. I didn't DTD until 2 weeks after my m/c, but that was personal preference. Like Danica mentioned, you might not O the first cycle following your m/c.

Good luck to you, when you begin TTC!

We started BDing as soon as the bleeding stopped...my m/c was natural at 5w 1d...once the baby and all the tissue passed i only bled/spotted for about 2-3 days...pretty sure I am oing right now...it just has ALOT to do with how much hCG was in your system when you m/cd...

Good luck to you!!

Nicole, I was 5w5d and my hcg was 981 when I started to have my mc. It was a blighted ovum, and I blead for 1 wk, the spotted for another. We were told to wait 1 cycle for dating purposes, but we tried anyways. I figured they could date the baby via u/s. Well either i missed it or didnt O that first cycle. So now i just finished my first post m/c AF, and am trying for sure!! Im on CD 12 i think, and am crossing my fingers that this is it. Good luck hun. If you wernt very far along and it was a natural m/c then I think you only need to wait 1 cycle (if that).

Nicole, I m/c in August 07, had a d&c and didn't get my first af until late October. I've been trying since then. I would recommend temping. I have just done that the last 2 cycles, but I feel it help me know what my body is doing. G/L whatever you decide. We're here if you need anything.
