So I tols you all before about my best friend having the baby and how his girl friend wasn't too into it, well she is a lil better now, but now they seem to think I want to be the person they come to when they dont know what to do... I refuse to tell them how to care for their child, they have a public health nurse in their area that will come to their home for free and show them everything, I would tell them but what if they dont agree with me , I am not going to cause a fight about htis... I went there on Saturday and she was day 2 home with the baby, this baby is prefect he sleeps for 4-5 hours at a time, feeds for about 1/2 hour and then lies awake for a lil while and goes back to sleep, normal new born stuff as far as I see it, well anyways day 2 at home and breast feeding was just too much for her I guess, I came in the house, we were having a bbq and she was walking around with a bottle liner, I asked her what she was doing and she was like ooo Im going to pump off so I can have a glass of wine, I was like ok well what are you pum, ping in?? and with what, she doesn't have a breast pump so she sat in her room and pumped int a bottle liner and came out with it and I said to her don't u have a bottle for that she was like no he doesnt need one does?? I was like well yeah he does and she got a mad look so I left.. What the he;; do they want from me?? They both know what I have been through, I want nothing more int he world then to have a healthy lil baby like they did , and this kinda stuff doesnt sit well with me, does she honestly think a baby can drink out of a bottle liner???? Ugh sorry girls I needed this so bad!

That is ridiculous. How does she suppose he's gonna drink out of a liner? Poor baby! I hate when poor innocent children have idiots for parents. Sorry, but that makes me so mad. I don't blame you for being upset. It's terrible that the people who want a child the most have problems having them and others just don't appreciate what they have. KWIM?

WOW! Even little girls playing with dolls know to use a bottle not a baggie.

What a dingbat. Ill admitt i didnt know much of anything when we had our son, but we did have a good friend who delivered like 5 hours after me. She was in the hospital with me (3 rooms down) and we would get all sorts of tips from swaddling to diapering from her. Good lord id have been lost w/o her.

I had more of a clue than this girl i think though.

It makes me sad that she is "pumping" just to drink. That almost makes me cry. I wanted to BF for at least 6 months ( wanted to for 1 year) but unfortunatly i dried out at 3 months i tried fenugreek and everything but no luck. Can i just slap some sense into her for you pretty plz?

No, I agree Eleysia... I give you permission to smack her.

***--- didn't the nurses at the hospital teach her anything?!?! Before I left w/ my daughter they showed me everything (Though lots of it I already knew)...

Seriously, I might get some parenting class literature and give her a packet of info.

Yeah thats what I said I should do, but like my husband said the minute you give them advice they get mad looks on their face so we are going to stay back, I have almost convinced her to just put the poor guy on formula at least then we know he's getting the proper nutrition, Im so angry at them for being dumb and thinking they know all, yes I admit I was set in my own ways at first too, but I gladly accepted tips and techniques from people! I am the last person they should be asking, its almost been a year since Rennon died, a good friend of mine was just murdered by her boyufriend and my aunt died this has been a very hard week for me and I think if I hear one more whine or cry from her I may just slap her

ugh it's like if you don't give them advice you worry about the kid, but if you do, they get mad. pfft who the heck feeds their kid from a bag??? how do you even attach a freaking nipple to it?! and even though she is at least aware that she has to pump and dump after drinking, WTFFFFF the kid is 2 days old???
