So I didnt do it, but aparently 2 weeks ago someone standing the same duty im on right now raised the flag upside down, and a patient (i work in a hospital on a Marine Corps Base) saw it and called to have it fixed!!! I just got done raising the flag and was so freaked out that I was gonna do the same...

But with a little help from the people who had to go with me, I think it turned out ok. It was very messy haha but it worked.

Oh I feel so sorry for the person who put the flag on upside down. What an honest mistake but people would be so offended!! EEEp! I'm so glad it didn't happen to you! haha.

I got mad for half a second when I read your title because I thought you were going to say someone did it on purpose! lol. Poor person who did it upside down. At a MILITARY hospital no less! That would be so embarrassing!

I'm glad you got it straight. I had to raise flags when I was a teenager and went to a girls' camp during the summer, and I was always afraid I'd do it upside down! Once a girl I was doing it with DID get it upside down, but we noticed before it was raised. But we were doing it in front of the entire camp. >_<

Since 6th graders are the oldest in elementary school, our classes take turns with flag duty. A few months ago a couple of my students accidentally hung the flag upsidedown! The office ladies saw it immediately and ran out to help them get it down and make it right.
So hey, it happens!!!
