Today is 18 days since the d & c and I took a hpt this morning and it still positive (very light but still)

My hcg numbers on 4/7 after the baby had passed but beforethe d & e were 26,000

HCG on 4/24 (2 weeks after d & e) were 112

Have to get another draw today but Im sure they arent down yet since I got a +.

I so want to try again and this is so frustrating

Hmmmm.... I hope that they go back to normal for you soon. I suspect that if it is still positive on hpt that they are at least 20-30.

I'm so sorry! I m/c in August 2007 and my levels weren't below 5 until early November. I was only 7w1d, but I guess they just dropped slowly. I had a d&c done. I hope they drop soon so that you can ttc again soon. G/L

im having the same stinkin problem!!!! its frustrating, i know. i wonder if we can do something to speed along the process??? (drink pickle juice hahaha) im so sorry you are dealing with this too. i thought having a d n c sped up the process....they wouldnt even offer me that option. i had to have that chemo shot.
my mother says a watched pot never boils. easier said than done. well, good luck at the drs, and drink all that pickle juice before you head out and let me know if it works!

Sorry that youre still going through this. Im starting to see a trend.. it almost seems like a d&c takes longer for hcg to drop IMO.

Id agree that if it was a light pos then it is prolly down to like 20-40. I think that it took my body 1 week for it to drop from 25 to below 5. So hopefully the end of the waiting is near.

That makes perfect sense, actually. HcG is what keeps you pregnant. So, if you miscarry naturally, your levels have already been falling, and are usually lower when it's starts getting drawn to check to see if it's down to 0. With a missed miscarriage, though, your levels are still pretty high and your body isn't letting go of it. So you have more HcG to get out of your system.

This is only a Brittanie theory, not medical fact, so don't quote me on it!

I'm sorry you're still going through this!!!! I'm thinking along the same lines as the other ladies, in that your hCG is probably still around 20-25+ in order for you to get a + result.

Good luck at the blood draw! I hope your levels don't take much longer to drop!
