So my 1st AF after m/c came on time...CD29. I'm relieved, but now I'm kind of torn about what to do next. I m/c two consecutive months (doc gave me the ok the first time to try w/o waiting) but now a different doc says wait 2 cycles! I really don't want to listen to her. It seems like everyone else only has to wait one cycle and I'm not sure what "healing" is going to take place if I wait another KWIM? Have any of you NOT listened to the doc? By the way, it was the first time I'd seen this particular doc. Also, I have had a healthy pregnancy and don't seem to have any other health issues that may have caused the m/c.

Was your m/c natural? That might make a difference as to why your Dr said to wait 2 cycles. My Dr. said that I only have to wait for 1 cycle - but this was my first Pg and m/c. Maybe your Dr. thinks that you uterus needs an extra month to recuperate.

Keep us posted!

I would say you only have to wait 1 cycle if it was a "normal" miscarriage. I don't know your exact situation so I can't say for sure.

For me if it was my decision id say go for it. just make sure you start or continue taking your prenatals because that will help you since it will be replenishing any vitamins the pg took from you.

Glad AF showed right on time for you!!

As far as waiting, I was 9 weeks along and had to have a D&C, and my doctor only suggested I wait 1 cycle. Sooooo, the *bad* part of me would say you would probably be okay to try this month. But, your doctor may have other reasons for you to wait!?!?

Either way you decide to go, I hope you get your sticky bean quickly!!

I would think you'd be able to try after this AF. My doctor said 1 cycle, which we did...

My doctor said I should wait 2 cycles. But it looks like I am the only one with the "2 cycle doc."

Yay for AF showing!!!

As for waiting, they tell you to wait for dating purposes, to make sure your body is able to have a period following a m/c, and to make sure you're healed.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Thanks so much ladies. I was certainly leaning toward TTC this month, but all of your insight helps! Hopefully, I'll get a sticky bean and won't have to worry about what doc thinks of my bad behavior.
