Ok, so I'm going to start from the beginning. Lately I have been somewhat nauseous, tired, and moody. I have had several episodes of lightheadedness and my bbs have been tender. On the afternoon of the 23rd I began spotting. I wasn't due for AF until the 25th and she NEVER comes early. By late morning on the 24, I was completely done bleeding. I BLED LESS THAN 24 HOURS! Again, completely abnormal. I am usually a flat 3 days. No more, no less. I suspected this may be implantation bleeding. On the 25th, 27th, and 29th I tested. All three times I got a BFN. Normally, I'd say this was a weird cycle but with Gwen I spotted two days each month I was pg and got BFN on HPTs as well.

So here's where I need advice. I don't have health insurance. I can go to the health department for free, but I seriously doubt there tests are any more accurate. Plus that means waiting for HOURS after arrival to be seen, even with an appointment. I can make an appointment with a doctor's office but I'd have to pay upfront. Also, I know that I will be considered high risk when I get pregnant because of numerous health issues. There are a couple tests I'd love to have run (for peace of mind if nothing else). However, I know they're probably very expensive.

So do I head to the health department? Do I go to a ob/gyn just to get my levels checked? Do I splurge and get the more thorough exam? Or do I wait and see how next month is? What would you ladies do?

If it were me I would go on to the OB and get the test run. I know how expensive this stuff can be though, I've had LOTS of tests done. I guess I would look into other insurance options, but you definitely need to get in somewhere to have everything checked out thoroughly. Big hugs hon, I hope everything works out

Thanks sweetie. Unfortunately, due to an old back injury I can't get regular health insurance for three more years. Because of this, I will be on Medicaid during the pregnancy. In the meantime, everything comes out of pocket.

Planned Parenthood is a great idea. You could also ask dr's offices about payment plans. Good luck.

What CD are you now on? When is the last time you tested? It could still have been IB...

I guess I would recommend at least going somewhere and having things checked out if you don't get a definite answer soon.

KUP!

Well, I'm either on CD 8 or 41. I've tested three times: CD 3 or 36, 5 or 38, and 7 or 40. lol I've gotten a all three times. But like I mentioned before I got BFNs with Gwen too.
