I just gave Justin his last pill! He took it well for once and now I don't have to struggle with him every morning. It is SO HARD to give pills to cats. We haven't had any diarrhea or vomiting from the two of them since Thursday I think so now all that's left is weening them from the special GI food to their regular food.

I really am so thankful they both seem to be feeling better.

Yay for the furbabies!!

I remember trying to feed pills to my cat...we had to hide them in peanut butter...and even though he always managed to lick all the way around it...its not too hard with our bassett hound though...i can just shove them down his throat and he can't really get it back up

I'm sorry that your cats have been sick. It's so hard to try to give the pills. I remember growing up we had a cat who would occasionally need a pill. One of us would have to wrap him in a towel tight and hold him. Someone else would pry open his mouth, while another would drop the pill in. And he would still manage to spit it out when we let him go!

One of my boys has a weak stomach and gets diarrhea if he eats anything containing fish. Do you know how many cat foods have fish in them? I would say 95% of them. I'm that crazy lady in the grocery store who is reading the ingredient labels on her cat food!

I am too. It's weird because I hadn't changed foods at all. I think maybe they both got a stomach bug.

I got these things called Pill Pockets which are soft little treats you can hide the pill in but he can still smell the pill so he won't eat it. So I still have to pry his mouth open and pop it in. He is an expert at spitting out pills though. He's very strong so it's hard to hold his mouth open for very long.

Still I think I'd rather give him a pill than Stormy. She is a nightmare and starts hissing and growling and trying to bite.
