This doesn't scare me....

but this sure as heck does!

UGH!

I have my baseline ultrasound at 12:45. I guess to make sure everything looks okay to start the meds. I am not sure if this is a go for sure... but I am going to have to pay for the meds out of pocket for this one. My friend had the six vials left over, so it looks like I may need around 14 more at $60 a vial...so about $900

I hope this works!

I will update when I get back and have more info

I have a feeling this is going to be one of those break down and cry when I get back in the car... appointments. My emotions are just so balled up right now. I feel like something is going to break soon

I hope it's a good cry after and not a bad one. I just want a baby sooooo bad

Deep breathes, Bobbie. It's going to fine. I don't like needles either so I can understand that freaking you out. This is a labor of love to your baby...having needles poked into you when you really don't like it.

It's all going to work out, the money, the needles, the appointment, the baby. Some way or another.

I hope you have a great appointment and a good cry afterwards to release some of those emotions.

Good Luck at your appointment!!!! It will be fine, you'll be fine, everything will be fine, I'm positive about it! And just think... you're getting a stimulus check soon, money to help the economy, right? What better way to do that than helping yourself get pregnant and bringing another little consumer into the world.

I'm totally with you on the fear of the shots! I have an absolute needle phobia, I break down w/ anxiety attacks when I have my blood drawn, when I used to get my depo, pretty much whenever a needle is coming at me. I always warn whoever is sticking me, I'm a sissy, so puhleassssse be nice. Now guess what.... it turns out that I have a little clotting disorder and when I get that BFP that I want so badly I will be giving myself shots 2x daily through-out the pregnancy and up to 4-6 wks after delivery. So look at it this way...... you are lucking out that your shots will only last for a couple weeks, and also I have complete faith in you. Chin up! We'll cheer each other on

you are going to be fine!! Just remember to placed ice on the spot where you are going to give the injection for about 3-5 minutes. It will be good and numb. Plus, make sure the acohol dries completely before you insert the needle. If not the alcohol will hurt. Your ultrasound will show how many antral follicles (sleeping follicles) that you have on each ovary. It gives an indicator on how well you will respond. I was terrified each time I went for my cd3 ultrasound. Just close your eyes, and take a deep breath. We will be here thinking of you!

Bobbie,

Can i just start by saying we love you? Even though we cant go with you to the Dr. which i wish we could, we are there with you girl. I hope it is good news, and like Shannon said, it will work itself out. Doesnt it always? I pray that this is it for you, and in 1 cycle you have your healthy BFP!!!

PHEW! Thanks girls for being there for me today. I soooo needed it

The appointment went PERFECT!

My ultrasound was *just perfect* according to my doctor. My lining was 5.8. She said that was good, but I have no idea what that meant She said "We are on our way to getting you pregnant." I have to say that is the best thing I have ever heard from a doctor.

She wrote me a lab slip for blood work that I went and had done today. I go back for more blood work Thursday. The blood work tells them how I am responding to the meds.

I am now on 2 vials of Menopur a day (one shot....you just mix more of the meds with the solution.) She gave me my first shot in the office. I asked for it to be in the thigh. LOL I just can't imagine doing that in my stomach. It really didn't hurt much at all.

The best part? With the 6 my friend gave me and the 10 my doctor GAVE me (free of charge!!!!) I now may only need to pay for 4 or so if any at all. This is truly a blessing. The tears that I cry today will be of joy.

So girls...... IUI with injectables it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't stop smiling today. This has to be the best day in a looonnnngggg time for me

I'm am so happy for you Shots really aren't that bad, especially when you know you can get a baby out of it I did 2 a day with Sawyer for 12 weeks, and then went to 1 a day until 37 weeks. I no longer have a fear of needles. Keep us updated with how everything is going.
