My name is Justina and I am 26 years old with a 5 year old DD and a wonderful DH. I have been lurking here for months since my last miscarriage and I have finally gotten the urge to re-introduce myself to everyone. This forum has really helped me with getting past both of the miscarriages I have endured. If that is ever really possible. Reading the stories of all the BFP's that people are getting and looking at the pics that are posted really makes me believe that maybe this next round of TTC will work and I will be able to carry to term. How do you know when it is time to TTC again? I had my last MC in October and it still seems like it was yesterday. I give you all serious praise for finding the strength to continue on with your journey. It gives me hope that one day I will be able to do the same.

Welcome back Justina!!!

I totally agree with you, seeing all these BFPs makes me want to begin trying NOW!

You just *know* when it's your time to TTC. If you feel comfortable, I say you go for it. I don't think we'll ever truly get over our loss(es) but as time passes, it makes you remember that the baby was sent to you for a reason.

Good luck sweetie!!! I hope you get your reallllllllly soon!!!

Welcome, and sorry for your losses.

I think that everyone in here in different when it comes to trying again. I could not wait, I had my d&c in Feb and I wanted to start right away but my Doctor said to wait at least two cycles. You are the only one that can answer that question, you need to feel ready phisically and mentally.
The girls here are great support, so I know that if you are ready to start again, everyone here will be supportive in every way.

Good luck

Hey welcome back

I know for me it was just a waiting game. i wanted to try again immediatly, but my body had other intentions. imo if you got pg then the time was right, if not then it isnt meant to happen yet.

I hope you get your healthy sticky bfp very soon!!!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome. I appreciate it a lot. I definitely know I am in the right place for support. I had the talk with my husband last night and he is more than happy to get started trying! He has wanted a child of his own for sooooo long. Unfortunately both of the times we tried we lost both of them. Needless to say we are both a little gun shy. I just wish there was a way to know that this time it would work. It feels like every time I go through a loss, a part of me dies. But we are going to keep our heads up high and just push ahead with our plan to try again. I am hopeful that this next time we will be able to take a baby home 9 months later.

It will be great to get to know everyone. Thanks Ladies!

Justina.... welcome back

You know what keeps me going? I read in a book once.... if you want a child keep trying and you will have one. If you stop trying it is impossible. I just keep that in my mind and it pulls me through. You have to think IT WILL happen.

I hope your next baby is your earth baby and you never have to go through miscarriage again. You will be in my prayers.... keep up the dream of a child and it will happen

Justina, glad you came out of lurking! I am so sorry for your losses.

It is a very personal decision of when to ttc again. I believe that when the desire for a baby is stronger than the fears, then you are ready to ttc. That is not to say that all of your fear will be gone because after a loss, there will always be fear.

This is a great bunch of girls and no matter if your wttc or ttc they are all here for support to get you through, so stick around!

I hope that when you are ready that you will get a nice sticky BFP!!

Sorry for the long wait on a reply. Been very busy with planning my daughter's 5th birthday this next weekend. I really appreciate all of the replies and I think that I am ready to start TTC. Of course I waited too long this month to have a chance!! lol. I am kind of a procrastinator I really think that this next time will work and the baby will stick. That is the best thing I could ask for ever. I will probably be on here a lot from now on bugging you wonderful ladies with questions. Hopefully I won't be too annoying

So to kick off the questions....... I think I have a short luteal phase--11-12 days--- is there a way I can alter that? Could that be the reason that I can get pregnant, but lose the beans? I am not too familiar with what could be causing the short luteal phase. Any advice or links would be very appreciated. Thanks!!!

Hi and back!

I am glad you decided to start TTC again. I know it is hard, but it is so worth it in the end

As far as the luteal phase, I think there is a B vitamin that you can take that helps with that, but I am not sure which. If you don't get many responses on here, you may want to make a new post that asks your question. Sometimes people don't look at the posts again if they've already responded...

Justina. I am sorry for your loss.

When I first m/c I thought for sure that I would never want to TTC again. However, once the shock wore off I wanted to start again right away. I think that you will know when you're ready. Good luck. I look forward to getting to know you.

Vitamin B6 can make it longer, but if your LP is already over 10 days then you shouldn't need to make it longer. Instead when you get that bfp I would run to the dr.'s for a progesterone test and then if you need a supplement the dr. will be able to help you with that.
