Ok, so if you remember, I tested on Tuesday and got a BFN. I am now on CD28 11-13dpo (I think) and as I was going to test, I realized that I had light pink spotting (only noticble if you inspect the TP). I decided to go ahead and test anyway. BFN. So, here is my question (and PLEASE be honest with me -- I can take it) -- Am I out this month? I don't expect AF to start until Sunday, and I usually have at least one full day of spotting before actual flow. If it were IB, wouldn't I be showing positive HPT? I just don't feel like it's my month (but I didn't feel like it the month I got pregnant either). The reason I want to know is because there is a big work party tonight for a guy I have worked with for 10 years and if I'm out, I'll be drinking. I don't want to jeopardize anything, but I don't want to hang on to false hope either. I would MUCH rather have a baby than go drinking tonight, but if I don't get the baby, I might as well enjoy the drinking. We are leaving in about 3 1/2 hours so I don't have much time. Anyone have any words of wisdom?

I would says if it was IB, then there is a pretty good chance that you would get a BFP now. But since it is still early you may need FMU or just hold it for a few hours. If I were you, that's what I would do....Just hold it until right before you leave and then POAS. I really hope you get your BFP, but if you don't, I wouldn' count yourself out yet.

When I got pg, I had IB and I did not test positive until a couple of days later. My advise, stick to coke just in case.

k im out of time so i didnt read the responses but here is what id say. if you feel like it isnt your month 1 night of drinks wont hurt anything. i got drunk like completly smashed twice and my son is completly fine.

but if you think that there is a good chance you still might be pg then dont drink. im telling you tho, 1 night wont hurt.

I have to agree, it is too early to know for sure because its not over until the witch shows up. If it was IB then it could take a couple days for it to get into the urine system although it might be in the blood now. I didn't get my bfp until 12dpo, so if your off by a day or two then that could make all the difference.

Honestly one night of a few drinks isn't going to hurt you or a possible baby either, so have some fun.

I am sure it's way late now, but wanted to add my 2 cents

If it was IB, you might not have enough hcg in your system yet to test positive. I would test again in a couple days if AF doesn't show...

I am late replying too.... but if it were my I would go out and have a few drinks, but not get too smashed. I just get soooo tired of putting my entire life on hold for *what if's* Everything in moderation

I too don't think you are out yet.....

I agree with Bobbie. And I had IB on tissue (very faint, but there) and didn't find out I was pg 'till a couple days later. Don't count yourself out just yet!!!

From what I have read, 24 to 48 hours after implantation is when hcg is noticed in the body, SO you probably wouldn't get a BFP just yet. Test again in a couple days!

Thanks for the replies ladies. Here's what I ended up doing. I really felt like the month was over for me. I was having mild AF cramps and the spotting, so I decided to have just two drinks -- I never even got a buzz. Now, this morning, the spotting has STOPPED. (Nothing when I had to get up in the middle of the night and nothing first thing this morning). So.... now I'm still holding out a little hope. Other than getting up to pee in the middle of the night, which is not ususal for me, and having vivid dreams every night which is also not ususal for me, no other symptoms. I'll try to put it out of my mind until Sunday and test again. Maybe... just maybe... I'll get the best mother's day gift ever.
