Hi Ladies-
This month is my first time using OPKs, 2 cycles after loss. I started testing CD10 and tested 7 days but no +. So either I O'd after when I should have (May 3rd) or I O'd before (which I think is unlikely) I started testing, or I never Od.
I am consistently a 28 cycle, wonder what is the latest day others have O'd?
TIA for any input.
Brenda

i have read that the lh surge (what opk tests for) can occur on a day you test, but later in the day. so if you tested in the morning, and weren't having your lh surge, the opk wouldn't be positive. but later that night, you can have your lh surge, but you missed it cuz you waited til the next day to test, when the surge had already gone back down. make sense? i've also never had a pos opk, but i also never tested regularly. supposedly to really catch the lh surge, you have to test twice a day, but then you don't have enough tests for enough days. (unless you buy a bunch of them off ebay or something.)

Before I got pg the OPK worked great for me. After the m/c I'm either not O or I'm missing it. I test when i get home in the afternoon (I think it's kind of weird to test while I'm work and have to go to the bathroom with my little cup in the middle of the day ).

I'm using them for the first time this month too. I've used four and three days in a row the second line got progressively darker and then today it barely showed up at all. But the first three days the line wasn't dark enough to be considered the surge. IDK. I think this is my last time for using the OPK.

Thanks ladies for your help. A lot of what you said makes sense and has been my experience as well. Nice to hear others have had to same 'issues' using OPks.
