So, this week, I have child care kids that come at 6am on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. I get up at 5am on the days they come. Well, I felt so happy that Zoe slept until 8am on the days they came, so I was looking forward to a good night's sleep and sleeping in today.

Ha Ha, I should have known I wouldn't be so lucky.

I went to bed at 10pm. That is early for me. I needed that, since I hadn't had a nap in two days and the earliest I was able to get to bed was 11pm. And due to my insomnia, I'm always awake from 1:30am-3am.

So much for a good night's sleep and sleeping in. DH is home with the flu. I had to listen to him moan and toss and turn all night. His body is burning up, but he's shivering under 3 blankets. Zoe woke up screaming at 3am, and my mind was racing all night. Finally, 3:30am rolls around. Zoe got herself back to sleep..yay! I'm finally starting to fall asleep, as in a deep sleep where I would actually feel rested. DH wakes me right back up and asks me to get him some water. So, here's for another hour at attempting to get back to sleep. 4:30am, I'm dreaming, but still conscious of what's going on. I'm getting to the point where I don't know what's going on. DH wakes me up AGAIN telling me he feels like he's going to throw up. Okay, did not need to know that, and he could just go to the bathroom if he feels like it. I told him to get a garbage pail and put it beside him, and I roll over to try and get back to sleep. Finally, 7am rolls around and I'm finally in that deep sleep I wanted to be in, and what happens?

Zoe wakes up.

Needless to say, I'm exhausted and grouchy today. I have an exhaustion headache and I'm very cranky. I apologize ahead of time if I say something to offend anyone. lol

Poor thing!

Men are such babies when they are sick...yet women have to be sick and STILL take care of the children and household...we have such super powers!...

Hopefully you can take a nap with Zoe today and tell DH to sleep in the kitchen...that way he will have the food and drink at hand and a trashcan to puke in!

Isn't it funny how offering to do the duty will suddenly make a man feel better?

It got him up and moving. He comes out of the shower and goes "I guess sex cures the flu!"

Since then, he's proceeded to feed, change and bathe our daughter, much to my delight.

Men are such fakers.

I'm sorry Brandi, poor you...I'm in some ways like you, I get very cranky and get headaches if I don't get my sleep . Never the less, I don't have a little ones to keep me up, my my dog snores (big time) so she'll wake us up in the middle of the night snoring away, and making all this grunting noises
